The poster with 'Release Imran Khan' banner was spotted during India's batting against Pakistan in the much-awaited clash between the two arch-rivals.

Khan is a legend of the game. The mercurial all-rounder led Pakistan to the 1992 World Cup (ODI). But the 71-year-old has become a political prisoner, according to many, in Pakistan.

Following his retirement from cricket in 1992, the Lahore-born entered politics and eventually became the country's prime minister in 2018. In 2022, troubles began for Khan and he was ousted from the chair of prime minister.

He was then convicted in multiple cases and sent behind the bars last year.

Despite Khan being in jail and his party's candidates, who fought as Independents, won the most seats in the National Assembly in the General Elections of Pakistan held earlier this year. The leader though remains in jail.

Talking about the game, the start of the match got delayed due to rain in New York due to rain and even after the match started players had to walk back to the pavillion after the heavens opened up again just after the first over.

Pakistan had won the toss and opted to bowl first.
