In an attempt to restore normalcy following communal clashes, the curfew in Haryana's Nuh district will be temporarily lifted for four hours on Monday. The curfew was initially imposed on August 1, after violence erupted over a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession.

According to an order issued by the district magistrate, the curfew will be lifted from 9 am to 1 pm, allowing the public limited movement during this time. Earlier today, a brief relaxation of the curfew occurred from 9 am to 12 noon, during which people stepped out to purchase vegetables at Nuh Sabzi Mandi, as reported by ANI.

Despite the curfew easing, mobile internet services will remain suspended in the Nuh district until August 8. The Haryana home secretary cited the critical and tense conditions in the area as the reason for this extension.

Furthermore, a trial reopening of banks and ATMs is set to take place on Monday, a week after the clashes. Financial institutions in Nuh, Tauru, Punhana, Ferozepur Jhirka, Pingawan, and the municipal corporation areas will open their doors for a short window. Transactions in banks will be facilitated from 11 am to 2 pm, while ATMs will remain operational until 3 pm.

In addition to banking services, government offices will function smoothly on August 7, with employees allowed entry by presenting their identity cards. District Magistrate Dhirender Khadgata assured that normality is gradually returning, and the situation is under control in Nuh.

Meanwhile, a free bus service has been provided to CET examination centers in five districts, namely Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Karnal, Hisar, and Panipat. This service will continue on Monday as well, aiding examinees in reaching their destinations conveniently. Notably, five bus services were offered on routes like Nuh-Alwar-Jaipur, Nuh-Alwar, and Nuh-Gurugram.

The clashes in Nuh resulted in 56 FIRs being registered and 147 people arrested. The violence led to the tragic loss of six lives, and 88 others were injured during the unrest.
