Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday acquitted Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and others in a case related to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Kumar was accused in a triple murder case in the Sultanpuri area of Delhi. The case related to former Congress MP Jagdish Tytler, on the other hand, has been listed for hearing from October 13.

On the acquittal of Kumar and others, a family member of one of the victims told news agency ANI, "It is very wrong that the court has acquitted him. They have sprinkled salt on our wounds. We have been fighting a long fight for 39 years."
