When discussing about his personal life,?Bollywood actor Siddhant Chaturvedi brings with him a lot of intense emotions. Rising to fame with his remarkable breakout performance in 'Gully Boy' and then experiencing a meteoric rise in Instagram followers, he shares that he makes use of the platform to channel his sadness and heartbreak.?

Siddhant, who has?a following of about 2.6 million on the social media platform, often uses it to share his works, his poetry. Inspired by real life, he plays the role of a stand-up comedian who deals with his inner traumas through his jokes in his upcoming?film 'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.'

In an interview with The Indian Express, when asked if he uses poetry to get over heartbreaks, the actor agreed that he writes and shares them to let out his “sadness, anger” in order to feel?calm. He then went on to share the story of his first-ever heartbreak -- the incident that led him to write poetry.?

“I started doing it when I was 16 when my first heartbreak happened. I had written a poem for a girl and went to give it to her. I was the loser of the class, wasn’t that famous. While I was giving it to her, she saw a lot of her friends look at her and was so embarrassed that this boy was giving her a note. She took it, threw it on the ground, stomped on it and walked away. I still have that poem with her shoe mark on it. It is true!”

The role social media plays for people in the film industry is given too much importance.?The actor revealed that he has now stopped using Instagram to talk about his everyday happenings consciously. “I used to do that earlier because I was too excited to be out there. But not anymore. I want to contribute to the algorithm and share stuff that resonates with people. It is now about my journey and the struggles. I know a lot of young guys would want their beliefs to be reassured.”

The actor was also asked about what it's like?being?an actor. “Everybody is an actor, everybody is famous on Instagram. There is a lot of competition from everywhere. Everybody has got a camera, everybody is acting, everyone is putting up a show and entertaining. So now you need to detach yourself from that and ask yourself why you are doing this. For me, it is always the love for cinema, the stage, or the longer format.”

“Al Pacino had said in an interview years ago that there will be a day everybody will be famous and being famous won’t be important anymore. It was 30 years ago, and this is the age we are living in. You need to ask yourself, if you want to be relevant or rare. I want to be rare. I am working on that right now,” he added.

Directed and co-written by Arjun Varain Singh,?'Kho Gaye Hum Kahan,' sheds lights on the current generation's addiction to social media?while trying to navigate?their lives. It also stars Ananya Panday and Adarsh Gourav in lead roles, alongside Chaturvedi.

Scheduled to release on December 26, the movie will be available to stream on Netflix.
