Brazil Edge England 1-0

All of 17, the Real Madrid-bound Endrick became the youngest-ever men’s player to score an international goal at Wembley as Brazil beat England 1-0 in their friendly match. Endrick, who will move from Palmeiras to Madrid at the end of the season when he turns 18, struck nine minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Coming on for Rodrygo in the 71st minute, Endrick wasted little time to make his mark, firing into an empty net after Vinicius Junior was denied by England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The 20-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward Florian Wirtz scored the fastest-ever goal for Germany as the European Championship 2024 hosts stunned tournament favourites France 2-0. Harry Kane Ruled Out Of ENG Vs BEL Friendly

Injured England skipper Harry Kane will return to Bayern Munich after being ruled out of the Three Lions' friendly against Belgium, manager Gareth Southgate said. Kane has not recovered from an ankle injury and the decision to leave the English team camp early came after he played no part in the 0-1 loss to Brazil.

Max Verstappen Exits Australian Grand Prix Early

Now here's a sight we haven't witnessed too often in the recent past. Max Verstappen will not end on the podium or even in the top 10 in a Formula 1 Grand Prix after a long time. An angry Verstappen has retired early from the Australian GP, with the Red Bull driver sustaining a fiery mechanical failure on the fourth lap of the race, enduring his first race retirement since Albert Park in Australia in 2022.

Minutes after his retirement, he was seen on TV coverage of the race in a heated discussion with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner.

Verstappen had won the first two F1 races of the season in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia and was on a nine-race winning streak.

“What we can see so far is the right rear brake just stuck on,” Verstappen said. “So it was also basically driving with a hand brake on. And that's why I really felt that the car was really weird to drive in some corners. It was just very snappy.”

Carlos Sainz Wins Australian Grand Prix

Ferrari’s Carlos Sainz has returned from surgery just 16 days ago to win the Australian Grand Prix. Sainz took advantage of Verstappen’s first retirement in 43 races to claim just the third win of his career a fortnight after he was ruled out of the previous round in Saudi Arabia with appendicitis.

Verstappen suffered a brake failure after just four laps of Sunday’s 58-lap race at Melbourne’s sun-cooked Albert Park to end his winning streak which stretched back to September’s Japanese Grand Prix.
