BIGBANG's G-Dragon Launches Anti-Drug Foundation 'JUSPEACE' After Legally Being Cleared Of Allegations

BIGBANG's G-Dragon made a powerful comeback with launching an initiative to eradicate drug-use in the society.

After being relieved of all drug allegations and all charges dropped against him, BIGBANG's G-Dragon has taken his first public steps sooner than expected. The K-Pop idol, whose real name is Kwon Ji-yong, has returned to the spotlight and launched a powerful initiative -- a foundation to eradicate drug use.

According to the singer's new agency, Galaxy Corporation, the idol has launched an anti-drug foundation named JUSPEACE, a blend of "justice" and "peace." Through a substantial donation to this foundation, G-Dragon aims to draw from his personal?experiences to instill hope in others, seeking to turn a negative phase of his own life?into?something positive.

On December 26, Galaxy Corporation said, “The foundation will establish a strong determination to realize a society without prejudice through Kwon Ji-yong’s music and will carry out activities accordingly...The foundation’s first project will focus on activities for drug eradication and the treatment of addicted youth,” as?per Nate News.?

“The first donation will be based in the name of VIP (BIGBANG’s fandom name), and I will make a full donation under the name of the Guardians of Daisy, which I voluntarily created through this incident,” the 'Crayon' singer said in a statement. The first donation, which is worth ?300 million (about Rs. 1.9 crore), was made by the artist himself.?

During a press conference earlier this month, speculations arose regarding G-Dragon's comeback in 2024. Despite his departure from YG Entertainment (his former label), ongoing discussions between the company and the artist?involve partial contracts and other possibilities. The label also reinstated that they will be?extending full support to G-Dragon should he choose to move forward with his musical career, offering help?in any way possible.
