Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is still basking in the success of his Tamil film, ‘Leo’. The film which turned out to be a box office success starred Vijay, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, and Trisha in pivotal roles. Recently, the director spilled some beans on its sequel and fans are jubilant.

Lokesh Kanagaraj had recently attended a college event. Speaking at the event, he answered the multitude of questions that students asked him. During this conversation, the director made a major announcement about his upcoming project.

It is known that the director is working on the script of Rajinikanth’s 171th film which has been tentatively titled, ‘Thalaivar 171.’ The film is touted to be an action film devoid of drugs that often makes an appearance in a lot of his films. While many questions revolved around the Rajinikanth starrer, one question was about the sequel to ‘Leo.’

Lokesh Kanagaraj revealed that it was a pleasure for him to work with Vijay. He mentioned how he is ready to team up with him once again for the sequel. Koimoi quoted the actor saying, “Leo 2 is definitely on; I’ll start to write after #Thalaivar171 & Kaithi 2. Definitely. It’s always fun to work with Vijay Anna.” This announcement made fans ecstatic about the sequel of 'Leo'.

However, the director also added that he has not written a script for the sequel yet. He mentioned that he will start working on this Vijay starrer after 'Thalaivar 171' and 'Kaithi 2'.

Reportedly, Lokesh Kanagaraj has taken a break from social media in order to focus on finishing the script of ‘Thalaivar 171.’
